Tonight, Tonight

One of the girls favorite songs is "Tonight, Tonight" by Hot Chelle Rae. They sing it CONSTANTLY. Here are a few samples from their daily performances :)

Catching Up - September

Eagle Crest - We took our annual trip down to Eagle Crest this year. Lucky for us Nana and Papa were able to come over and join us as well! I think the most exciting part for the girls was the bunk beds and that they got to sleep together. They have been asking for bunk beds ever since :)

First Day of School - Kelsey is in her last year of preschool - sniff sniff! She has switched to Heritage Christian Academy this year and has been loving every minute of it!

Bellingham 1/2 - I signed up for my second 1/2 marathon of the year. I loved the Bellingham one as it was a gorgeous course to run. Though I could have done without the high winds near the end! I'll definitely be doing this one again!

Pearl Jam - Right after my 1/2 marathon, Stacy and I drove up to Vancouver to see Pearl Jam perform. While it made for an exhausting weekend it sure was a blast!

Preschool Skate Night - Kelsey's preschool went roller skating and it was so much fun! The girls both had a blast and were actually quite good for their first time!

This video is from Kelsey's first pair of skates. They had tightened her wheels so much she was basically walking. It was much more entertaining to watch her try to skate once her wheels were a little more rolly :)

Catching Up - August

Birthday Boys - Some of our good friends in the neighborhood have husbands with late August birthdays. We decided to go out and celebrate them all at Salty's on Alki. What a fun evening out!

Woodland Park Zoo - We took Nana and Papa to the zoo on one of their trips. We lucked out and the animals were pretty active considering it was such a sunny day.

Camping - We took the girls on their first camping trip with some good friends from Kelsey's preschool. The girls had a blast! We all can't wait to go back again next year!

Ear Piercing - Kelsey decided this summer that she was brave/tough enough to get her ears pierced. I figured we were safe for a while since she hates pain so much and I'd told her that it hurts. She did awesome though! And so far there isn't a day that goes by that she isn't thrilled to have done it :0

Excited to be getting them pierced

Not so sure about this decision now!

Poor girl!

Candy makes everything better :)

Pool Party - During one of our hot summer days we had a pool party in the backyard with a bunch of our neighbors. We put up our two pools and the slip n slide as well as two of the neighbor's pools. The kids (and Chuck) all had a great time!

Strawberry Picking - I took the girls one day up to Biringer Farms and we picked strawberries. It was a lot of fun - even if I was the one doing most of the picking :)

Catching Up - July

New Sheets - Josie got her very own bedset and Kelsey was more than happy to help her break it in :)

Kla Ha Ya Days Carnival
- We took the girls to the carnival again this year and they had a blast! This was Josie's first year of being able to go on anything other than the merry-go-round. Though she was still only allowed on two other rides. The big slide was by far her favorite - we must have gone at least 20 times. Can't wait for next year!

"Giddy up horsie!"

See Jane Run 1/2 - I decided to try my hand at running again and signed up for the See Jane Run 1/2 marathon. I managed to finish (my main goal!) in under 2hrs 30 minutes. Phew!

Nana and Papa's - As always we had a grand time visiting Nana and Papa! We hit the pool, played with all of my old dolls and even visited a butterfly farm. The girls can't wait to go back!

Independence Day - We started off the day watching the Bothell Parade and finished with a fun evening with all of our neighbors for an impromptu street BBQ and fireworks show. What a fun day!

Fun Times - Kelsey learned how to draw stars and Josie learned how to make silly faces :)
