Its The Final Countdown

I'm down to my final (hopefully) week of pregnancy. I don't know where the time has gone!? We feel as ready as we'll ever be to bring a newborn home. We have our bag packed, baby clothes washed and ready to go, and numerous plans for what to do with Kelsey when I finally do go into labor. We were thankfully able to move Kelsey out of her toddler bed (which is going to be the baby's crib) into her new bed with no issues and she seems to love it! Now we'll just have to train her to sleep through a crying baby :)

38 weeks

39 weeks...don't you love the drastic change in outfits? We have had quite the weather shifts over the past few weeks!

39 weeks with Kelsey...as you can see I'm carrying much lower this time around!

This past weekend Chuck and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary. We stayed at the Woodmark in Kirkland and hit the town for some delicious dinner, dessert and foot massages. It was a wonderful and relaxing getaway before the new baby!

Relay For Life

This last weekend I did the annual Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society. We had beautiful weather for the Relay which was a nice change of pace from our usual rainy days. Plus raised nearly $200,000! Thanks to everyone who donated!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to walk as much this year as I have in the past due to da belly

Our fearless leader Stacy (in her beautiful purple wig) who not only organizes us each and every year but she also co-chairs the Relay

Our teammate Melia who organized the cut-a-thon as well as signed people up for ACS CAN)

Last Day of School

Tuesday was Kelsey's last day of preschool for the year. I can't believe how quickly the year has gone by! Its been so fun watching Kelsey make new friends and get so excited to see them and do the songs/activities each day. We can't wait until next year!

Daddy's Got A Brand New Deck

This weekend Daddy and some friends helped rebuild our deck. Our old deck was starting to rot and we always wanted some new stairs off the kitchen. Daddy and his friends sure did a great job!

Before total demo (we of course forgot to take a pic w/the railings still intact)

Enjoying being able to sit on the railings :)

Down to the frame - as you can see the boards were pretty rotted away

Our new stairs! Kona really seems to enjoy them as she always uses these to get to the yard now

Happy Mothers Day!

Today was Mother's Day and I was spoiled rotten! Kelsey and Chuck bought me some Fran's Chocolates (my fave!), flowers and a balloon (of course Kelsey thinks its her balloon). Nana and Papa were in town for the weekend so we also got to share the morning with them. Kelsey definitely had a great time helping us open up our presents! After Nana and Papa left we went to Mukilteo Lighthouse Park to enjoy the sunny weather. Then this afternoon we headed into Bothell for a nice walk. What a wonderful day!

Bringing Mommy her present

Kelsey was just as excited about opening the present (chocolates) as Mommy was :)

Beachy Keen Weekend

I had a great weekend exploring beaches! Friday my preschool went to Brackett's Landing in Edmonds for a field trip. Then on Saturday we went to Mukilteo Lighthouse Park with Nana and Papa. I had such a great time I decided to bring Mommy and Daddy back on Sunday.

WWU

Today we took a day trip up to Bellingham to visit some friends. While up there we stopped off at Mommy and Daddy's college - Western Washington University. I had a GREAT time running around checking out all of the cool outdoor art and fun brickwork. I can't wait to go back!

While it may look like Daddy is helping me climb up - he's actually helping to me keep from climbing up and over!

Riding in style!

Checking out The Shins rehearsing for a concert that evening. They were really good and I wanted to get in to see more!
