Sleep Study Update

For those of you who follow this blog I figured I'd update everyone on the sleep study. It was determined that Kelsey has borderline apnea. So at this point she doesn't have to do any c-pap machine or surgery thankfully. Since apnea tends to inflame the sinuses they put her on Singulair which is typically used for asthma and allergies. She takes it every night before bed and so far its been working wonders! She sleeps through the night more often than not and we haven't noticed her coughing or gasping at all. Hopefully this will be just a temporary solution and she doesn't have to stay on it for a long period of time. But for now our little girl is finally getting the good sleep she needs!

Wow Stacey! That's such good news - and so glad to hear that the Singulair is making a difference for her, and she doesn't have to have any surgeries!

Thanks for the update - so glad to hear that no surgeries or machines are necessary. Hope Singulair continues to work and helps get the whole family some much needed sleep!
