I have officially hit the third trimester (28 weeks) and am feeling pretty good overall. I definitely feel huge - especially when I look at pictures of myself from this pregnancy vs with Kelsey. Kelsey has suddenly decided she has a baby in her tummy which is pretty cute. She likes to talk about it a lot now. For her birthday she received a Big Sister book which has become one of her favorites. Hopefully she'll enjoy being a big sister as much as she enjoys reading about it!
This past week Mommy and I headed down to Oregon to visit Nana and Papa to celebrate all of our birthdays. It was GREAT fun! I had a blast and completely wore myself out!
I am a big girl now! I am two years old today! I sure had a fun weekend celebrating! Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes and gifts!
On Friday I got this great bunch of balloons and teddy bear from Grandma and Grandpa!
Then I got to help Mommy frost my cupcakes and lick the knife!
Getting ready to blow out my candle
Mmmmmmmm....frosting!
Opening my presents with all my friends helping
Testing out a couple of my new gifts
Today was also my friend Matt's birthday so we went over to celebrate with him. We got to lick some of the frosting off the cake before it was cut :) Yum!!
Great Grandma Simon sent me a cool backpack and books for my birthday - as you can see I had a good time opening them!
Kelsey is quickly nearing 2 and as she does she seems to be gaining those typical toddler traits. She wants to be very independent and loves trying to dress herself - even if she's not always successful. She also has a strong opinion on what she does and does not want to wear. Her language and object recognition is growing so quickly its amazing. It seems like just last month she was only using one word to describe things and now she's using complete sentences. Her favorite sayings? "I got it" and "I do it" :) It'll be interesting to see how much more she advances in the upcoming months...
Here is her usual "cheese" face that she now makes for the camera
Attempting to put on a shirt. She was determined to get it on by pulling it up from her legs instead of over her head.
Yes - we actually went out in public like this. She did NOT want to take off her swimsuit! :)
Its official - Chuck is completely outnumbered now :) Today we had our 20 week ultrasound where we found out we're having another girl! We were both glad to find out that everything looked good and she's growing normally. We'll keep everyone posted once we decide on names.

The arrow is pointing to her girl parts (how they can tell still baffles me)
Facial view
The hospital now has a 4D ultrasound so you can get a clearer view of what the baby actually looks like. But our little one kept her hands in front of her face so they couldn't get a good shot of her face.
Me currently at 20 weeks
For reference - here is me at 20 weeks with Kelsey - I'm SLIGHTLY bigger this time around ;)
This has been a historic day for America and for me! I watched our first African American president get inaugurated into office today. What an exciting time!
This was quite a Christmas this year. We had over a foot of snow for the week leading up to Christmas so we unfortunately missed out on our usual family celebrations with Nana's side and Daddy's side. Thankfully Nana and Papa made the trek up on the only clear day and were able to celebrate Christmas with us at our house. It was lots of fun - even though we were snowed in!
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
O' Christmas Tree
Frosty The Snowman
What we woke up to Christmas morning...more snow!
Carrying around "baby"...by far the favorite present of the season
Watching Curious George with baby
My new blocks are another favorite gift. Thanks Great Grandpa Stacey!
My new kitchen from Grandma and Papa is a ton of fun too! I love baking cookies!
Here he/she is! Making their internet debut! Our newest addition's first baby picture. Everyone is doing well and very excited to watch this little one grow!
